Does this dish look appealing to anyone?

It does to me. And it was absolutely delicious. It brought back so many memories. My grandma & my mama have made it for me many many times. I don't even know what it is officially called but we called it Spicy Noodles or Kimchi Noodles (Mei Won Gook Su). I haven't made it in a while because we normally don't have any kimchi in the house. But recently we discovered this Oriental supermarket that sells it. So we have bought kimchi by the big tub. This is the 2nd big tub that we bought.

So I had a craving to make this for dinner tonight. But this repair guy was coming over to our house at 4:30pm. Ok...so I figure he would be gone by 5ish or 5:30 at the latest. So I patiently waited and waited until he finished his job and left before I opened up the STINKY but DELICIOUS tub of kimchi. And I know it stinks like crazy when I open up the lid because both my girls pinch their noses and ask me what that smell is. But this guy took forever and he finished at 6:30!!!!! When he finally left I ran to the kitchen to open up the jar and make my dish. And it was so tasty and my mouth is on fire from the spice and I'm stinky but it was so satisfying. Just wondering if this would make any of you guys salivate?

Backyard Fun

Our backyard is just full of dirt as you can see...but hopefully soon it will be full of grass so we can run and play.

Mmmmmmm KFC & MickieDdddds

Yes, I like to feed my kids...and in return they like to eat. Works out great. Usually the food is pretty healthy. But the last week I've been craving fast food junk. I brought home Kentucky Fried Chicken for lunch on Tuesday for the whole family. Hubby looked at me like I was crazy. But I had seen a commercial for it the night before and it was on my mind. And besides it was Toonie Tuesday, where you get 2 pieces of chicken and fries for $2.49, so how could I resist. I had to complete the meal wth neon green coleslaw, creamy macaroni salad and gravy. It was delicious.
Then once again I got a craving for junk last night. I asked the girls if they wanted McDonalds! They both said NO! Hubby has them convinced that it is an evil place. Anyhow I still pulled into the drivethru for my BigMac trio deal. So I ordered kids' meals for them just so they could have the toys. Mama gets her BigMac, the girls get their plastic toys, Tobi gets his dog treat (in this small town, all drive thrus give dogs a dog biscuit! Crazy?) and everyone is happy. But now I'm wondering why oh why I'm eating so badly these days.

Kids' Update

Why do kids wake up so early?
When do kids start to sleep in? At what age?
When can weekends mean sleeping in?
I guess I'm cranky this morning because I stayed up till 1am finishing my book.

But I asked my hubby if he would wake up and be the 'mommy' this morning so I can
catch up on my zzzzzzz's.
Which I did for about an hour until I heard screaming and yells of "Help! Help!"
So I sprang from my bed and ran towards the kids.
Everyone looked surprised to see me running towards them since they were only play
pretending that a snake (the belt from their housecoats) were attacking them.
But now I was fully awake. Great.

The kids are being somewhat tortured with the concept of time.
"Why is it taking so long for my birthday to come?!" they ask about 2 or 3 times a week. It's been a couple of months since they have been asking. And it's not for another 3 months.
They are on Spring Break for the next 2 weeks. So when I explained that they weren't going to preschool because we were on a mini school vacation, they got all excited. "Vacation?!!!....Are we going to Mexico with Halmonie?" Well no. It's just a break from pre-school. Wow, must be confusing for little people.
Then this morning when I asked them to get dressed for the day they ran around all excited..."Yeah...are we going to Kaili's house now?" Well no. We are going around 3 o'clock today. Now? No. Tomorrow? No...later today.....after your nap. "But we just slept a long time!" Oh man, why do I even tell them what is going to happen in the future? I should just tell them right before it happens so they don't ask me a million times if that time is NOW.

The weather has been warm so the girls have been back out on their bikes. But now, they can bike pretty fast and don't want to just stay in the cul de sac outside of our house. They want to go down the street to the stop sign. So funny how when you are small all the way down to the stop sign is sooooooooo far. But they don't bike at the same speed. One goes a lot faster than the other. So basically one can be taking off down the street while the other one is biking slowly near the side of the road admiring rocks. So it can make a paranoid mama go a little crazy out there.
Basketball net. Hubby bought the girls a Little Tykes net and set it up outside. Very hilarious watching them play. We have been spending a LOT of time outside this weekend.
