We spent Chinese New Year eating lots of Chinese food in Vancouver. he he. Our favorite black bean crab and house special fried rice and Chow Mein noodles. We all loved it. You guys that live in big cities with good Chinese restaurants take it for granted, I'm sure. We have to eat at Safeway grocery store take out when we want Chinese food. So it was a huge treat for us to eat real Chinese food. The girls even said that this food tastes better than Safeway. ha ha.
Then we checked out this awesome Gelato place. It had 218 flavors. I had been there once before with my friend, Shannon. It was still just as awesome as I remember it.
Sophia chose cotton candy Gelato. Jeesh. It was bright neon blue. It was all over her mouth when she ate it and guess what color her poo was the next day. Really. We all laughed cause she had to call everyone over to see it.
We all went to Granville Island. It was so much fun. We usually go to the Aquarium and Science World so we wanted to do something different with the kids.
There was a little parade to celebrate Chinese New Year there. Very crowded. There was a guy dressed up giving out little red envelopes to the kids. Inside was a chocolate loonie.
Food that we drooled over.
We had to buy some of this chocolate. It was calling out our names.
We enjoyed Vancouver. We ate our way through the city...as usual.
