I want a Baby Rabbit!
The girls and I all fell in love today. We all want baby rabbits. As we were pulling out of the petting zoo parking lot, Alex said....I miss the rabbits already! And we all agreed. There were 23 baby rabbits in total and we got to pet them and cuddle them for a long long time. The joys of living in a small town. There was almost no tourists there so we got to spend so much time with the animals. We got to cuddle 2 day old guinea pigs. The girls saw 2 baby goats nursing on their mama at the same time and they were amazed. One funny thing happened, when we turned a corner of the petting zoo trail, we came across 2 donkies being ...um...very friendly to each other. James and I were cracking up and the girls didn't know what was happening. This petting zoo was fabulous. So clean and well maintained. I think we will be heading back there often. I want to go NOW to cuddle the baby rabbits again.
Romy, they are looking for volunteers to help feed and clean the animals. I thought about you and how much you would love it there. Halmoni, we want to bring you there too. Not so much for the animals but for all the fruit and veggies and the scenery. There are so many fruit stands close by and we picked up local cherries, apricots, string beans and tomatoes. While we were buying the fruits and veggies from one stand we looked across the street at another fruit stand that advertised veggie samosas. YUMMY. So I ran over and bought them from this Indian woman and they were homemade and very authentic tasting. It was a little escape from our lives this morning and we had a wonderful time.
