Last day of summer

 We spent the last day of summer swimming into the evening.  It's been such a warm, beautiful September.  I know fall cool weather is just around the corner so we are trying to enjoy the pool as much as we can right now.

 New pool inflatables from the dollar store.  Yahoo.  I had to go to several dollar stores to find them.  I know I'm late late in the season but still...where are all the pool noodles?  ha ha.

 Today was Sophia's first day of Ballet.  She was pretty nervous to go.  I'm not sure why because she loves to dance around.  She went with her BFF and all her worries melted away.  She listened to the teacher and fluttered around the dance studio.  Rachel was sick and stayed home from school.  So she got to watch her sister dance.  It was amazing to see how proud Rachel was of her little sister.  Melts my heart.  Rachel had brought along her Nintendo DS to play during the class but she didn't even open it up because she rather watch and giggle at Sophia.

 Poor third kid syndrome.  She usually always gets hand me downs.  No different for ballet either.  All the pink that she is wearing has been worn by her sisters before.  When she was putting on her ballet shoes, 2 little girls standing around says, why are her shoes brown?  To which I replied, they are pink, not brown.  But they insisted that Sophia's shoes were brown.  Sophia looked down at her hand me down shoes (which were not light pink and shiny like the other girls new shoes).  And Rachel stepped up and in a very firm voice told Sophia that her shoes are definitely pink.  So the other two girls had to agree and everyone was happy again.  Phew.
